Description

Course Outline

This training package has been designed as a taste test for the coffee lover, giving them an insight into the craft and skill required to be a barista. All training is conducted in a purpose built training room with 2 x 2 group La Marzocco espresso machines with Mazzer grinders to match. 

Espresso Fundamentals also makes a great team building session for corporate groups. 

The content covered includes:

  • Introduction to growing, roasting and harvesting
  • Understanding the espresso machine and grinder
  • The perfect espresso
  • Silky milk every time
  • Free pouring techniques

Making coffee is a hands on learning experience and for only $80 you can add one hour of practical training to the end of this class. Simply select "+ 1 Hour Practice Session" when making your booking.

All  changes to bookings need to be made no later than 48hrs before the  course commencement time by phoning 1300 253 030 or by email, brent@thecoffeetrainingco.com.au.  

Cancellations will be refunded and  changes will be considered if  requested more than 48hrs in advance of  the enrolled course. 

If a  cancellation is made with in 48hrs of the  course commencement time,   50% of the course fee will be refunded. In  the event of a "no show",  no refund will be given unless sufficient  evidence as to why is  provided.

Bookings

Bookings can be made by phone, email or online (preferred). Once payment is made and agreement to these terms and conditions have been confirmed, bookings will be confirmed by email.

Facilities

All training facilities are purpose built coffee training rooms. Equipment used are 2 group

commercial espresso machines and commercial grinders.

To provide  our services we require certain information from the purchaser or  trainee, e.g. their name, address, contact details etc. If the purchaser  or trainee does not provide us with this information we will not be  able to provide the services the purchaser or trainee have requested.


As  required by the Privacy Act the purchaser or trainee may also check and  correct the accuracy of personal details at any time. The Coffee Training Co. is not involved in the selling, trading or alternative unauthorized use  of personal information. We will not, on any circumstances pass on  personal details to other organisations, unless required by law.


Training and Assessment

All The Coffee Training Co. trainers are qualified trainers and hold a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.  All courses offered follow a clear training plan that is flexible to  meet the learners needs. Methods of training include, but not limited  to, the use of practical demonstrations & explanations, content  delivered by TV & DVD, and "one on one" assisted training, physical  work books and assessments and practical assessments.


The Coffee Training Co. is  in partnership with Prestige Service Training (PST) and use PST as the  Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for all accredited courses.  Trainee's who complete an accredited course may have access and review  their own file with permission of PST and must abide by PST's policies.  PST's policies can be accessed by contacting PST by phone on (07) 5667  7224 or on their website.


Workplace Health & Safety Policy

Our Trainers are responsible for providing and maintaining a safe training environment & facilities

for the welfare of other trainers, trainees and guests.


Trainees are responsible for;

Ensuring their own personal health and safety, and that of others in the training facility.

They  comply with any reasonable directions (such as safe training  procedures, wearing personal protective equipment) given by a trainer or  management for health and safety reasons.

Ensuring correct attire is worn and personal hygiene standards are met to meet food safety standards.

These include;

Wearing of closed in shoes at all time

Long hair should be tied back

No acrylic nails

No nail polish

Minimal jewellery
